Hubble Space Telescope(Telescope) launched in 1990 and refined our estimate of the age of the universe. Its infrared successor, James Webb Space Telescope(Telescope), launched in 2021.

What Webb sees

Because the universe is expanding, the earliest light is stretched into the infrared — invisible to Hubble but Webb's native band.
